A modern person has a unique opportunity to travel around the world. We absolutely freely go on vacation to other countries, get a job there, visit friends, relatives, establish business relationships, get an education or even move abroad for permanent residence. Despite the fact that all paths and opportunities are open to us, when obtaining a visa and traveling abroad, as a rule, situations arise in which the receiving party will require a translation of your documents into their state language. To avoid surprises, it is recommended to translate everything that you received in Ukraine and that you may need abroad into a foreign language and legally certify it.

Foreign authorities and institutions accept for consideration only correctly translated and properly executed documents, so they should only be translated by professionals. Our company primarily deals with the translation of documents for traveling abroad. Translation of documents

Below is a list of documents that are translated in our company, as a rule, more often than usual.

Translation of documents in our country is a fairly popular service, because our fellow citizens often not only travel abroad, but also go there to work or study. This service is also used by foreigners who come to us to develop their business in Kharkov.

The following documents are most often required to be translated:

1. passport. It is necessary both for drawing up a power of attorney and for obtaining a residence permit;
2. certificate and its appendices, diploma with inserts. Required by everyone who plans to continue their studies abroad;
3. marriage certificate, birth certificate. They are needed if you plan to change your marital status abroad, apply for a residence permit, etc.;
4. powers of attorney. If you plan to perform various legal actions abroad on behalf of the principal;
5. applications, requests, contracts of various purposes.

You may need to translate anything, because each person has their own goals for traveling abroad, which means they may need to translate a lot of documents.

Passport Translation

This is a standard ID card confirming a person's identity. A professional will need no more than 1 hour to translate it. The time spent translating a passport depends on the required language. When receiving the result, it is important to carefully check the correctness of all the numbers indicated in it, including the date of birth, passport number, date of issue, etc. If at least one of the numbers is incorrect, the paper is considered invalid.

For official use, a translated passport alone is not enough, so it is recommended to immediately have the translation notarized, as well as certified by the seal of the translation agency, or legalize the translated copy.

Only a correctly and qualitatively transliterated document in which signatures and all data are clearly visible, without corrections or strikethroughs, is certified and legalized. Citizens of Ukraine should translate their passport in several cases:

• to obtain citizenship of another state;
• to conduct banking transactions abroad;
• to formalize transactions outside the state.

Foreign citizens who decide to stay in Ukraine for a long time are also required to translate their main identity document.

Translation of a certificate

Almost all of them are issued in accordance with a certain template, so their translation is considered a standard service for most agencies. The exception is medical certificates, which contain not only general information, but also an extensive description of diagnoses and prescriptions. They take longer to translate. Most often, the bureau translates the following certificates:

• medical;
• from the place of work or study;
• on income;
• on the balance of funds in a bank account;
• on the movement of funds in the account;
• on company registration;
• consent for a minor child to leave;
• certificate of no criminal record.

Standard certificates also include marriage registration certificates, divorce certificates, and birth certificates of a child. Before translating a certificate, remember that many of them have an expiration date, after which they, like the translated copy, become invalid. The expiration date may vary depending on the type of certificate:

• from work - up to 1 month;
• from study - 1-2 months;
• from a bank - from 2 weeks to 1 month;
• medical certificates - 1-2 months;
• no criminal record - from 3 to 6 months.

Translation of a birth certificate

It may be needed when moving or finding employment abroad. It is requested at the consulate of the state where the person is going, it may also be needed by a foreign employer or when obtaining citizenship. To be able to use the certificate abroad, you must first translate it into the official language of the destination, and then go through the apostille or legalization procedure.

Translation of the certificate

The certificate is a confirmation of completion of secondary education. Its translation may be needed by those who plan to study abroad, got a job in a foreign company or want to move abroad for permanent residence with employment in their specialty. It has a standard form and is considered standard documentation, but appendices to it may have a different number of subjects, so they cannot be classified as standard.

To obtain a notarized sheet, you must provide the translation agency with:

• original for notarization;
• copy or original for certification with the bureau seal;
• the owner's first and last name written in Latin in accordance with the passport (for Ukrainians and Russians);
• the owner's first and last name written in the transcription of the country of destination (for foreigners).

The certificate and its appendices are separate documents that are certified by a notary separately. Each of them can be certified at different times as needed. It is not recommended to translate them yourself, even if the organization does not require notarization. Like any official documentation, it must be properly executed, and only an experienced linguist can handle this task.

Translation of documents for a visa

There are not so many countries for Ukrainians that they can visit without a visa. In most cases, our fellow citizens have to collect a package of papers for the embassy before receiving permission to visit a particular corner of the planet.

The list of documents that need to be translated depends on the type of visa:

1. Tourist. The list depends on the destination. In each case, it is specified individually.
2. Business visa. Copies of customs and payment documents, agreements with foreign partners and other documentation confirming international cooperation may be required.
3. Student. A certificate, diploma, birth certificate or invitation to study at a foreign university will be required.
4. Medical. It is opened for people planning treatment abroad, so all tests, correspondence with attending physicians and various medical reports may be required.

Translation with notary certification

All documentation that was issued on our territory, was translated into a foreign language and is planned to be used abroad, must be legally certified. This applies to passports, driver's licenses, all kinds of certificates, diplomas, certificates and references.

To obtain a notarized translation of documents, you should contact a translation agency that has a notary on staff. Receiving a comprehensive service will cost less than translating a certificate in one company and certifying it in another.

In essence, a notary certifies the signature of the person who translated the original provided. And the person who translated, in turn, vouches for the authenticity and correctness of the service they provided.
